About Angel Wings
A site with real history — born from a small shop on the California North Coast, rebuilt in memory of the man who gave it its name.
Where It Started
Angel Wings began as a brick-and-mortar shop in Mendocino Village, California. The store sold angel-themed gifts, keepsakes, and spiritual items to locals and visitors along the North Coast. It was founded and run by Steve Miller — a man with restless energy, a gift for building things, and a quiet belief that some forces in life are worth paying attention to.
When the shop eventually closed, Steve did what he always did: he pivoted. He moved operations to the small coastal town of Elk and turned angelwings.com into a home for his next venture — motorized bicycles. For several years, Angel Wings Bicycle Shop designed and built custom motorized bikes, sold complete motor kits, and partnered with Spit-Fire Motor Works as a distributor for their 48cc engines. The Elk workshop served customers across California and beyond.
Steve passed away in 2008.

What It Became
After Steve's passing, we wanted angelwings.com to mean something again. The domain had been a shop, then a workshop — but the name itself always carried something deeper. Angel Wings. It was never just a brand. It was the thing Steve chose to put on the sign.
We rebuilt the site as a free angel number encyclopedia — a place where anyone can look up the meaning behind the numbers that keep appearing in their life. It felt like the right use for a name that started in a spiritual gift shop on the Mendocino coast. The site is our way of keeping Angel Wings alive, and of honoring someone who believed in building things that people could actually use.
How We Create Our Content
Every article on this site is researched and written with care. Here is how our process works:
- Research. Each angel number article begins with a review of established numerological sources, including classical numerology texts, Doreen Virtue's foundational work, and cross-cultural symbolic traditions. We look at what multiple sources agree on before writing a single word.
- Writing. We write every article with a focus on clarity and warmth. We aim for a tone that is grounded and practical — spiritual without being vague. We avoid generic filler and make sure each section offers something specific and useful.
- Review. Every article goes through an editorial review before publication. We check for factual consistency, readability, and completeness. If a section does not add genuine value, it gets rewritten or removed.
- Updates. We revisit published articles regularly. When we find better sources, receive reader feedback, or discover a perspective we missed, we update the content. Articles are living documents, not static pages.
What We Believe
Our Editorial Standards
- We do not present personal opinion as universal spiritual truth. Where interpretations vary, we say so.
- We clearly distinguish between traditional numerological meanings and modern interpretations.
- We do not make medical, financial, or legal claims. Angel numbers are a spiritual practice — we encourage readers to make practical decisions with qualified professionals.
- We do not use fear or urgency to drive engagement. You will never see "you MUST act now" language on this site.
- We cite our reasoning. When we attribute a meaning to a number, we explain why — whether the source is classical numerology, repeating-digit amplification, or cultural symbolism.
